Traditional Homeschooling Programs

ABeka Homeschool Curriculum is published by A Beka Book Publications. A Beka is an affiliate ministry of Pensacola Christian College. It offers Christian, Bible-based (KJV) lessons in core subjects and electives from preschool through high school, as well as reading and homeschooling books for all ages, teaching aids, and miscellaneous teaching supplies, e.g., maps, phonics charts, record-keeping notebooks, and presidential portraits

Abeka Homeschool Online distance learning,which includes video streaming and support is available as well as the independant option of just purchasing their textbooks and schooling your children on your own schedule. They offer DVD lessons to substitute for the text books programs as well.

A Beka Academy (ABA)

A Beka Academy (ABA) is a distance-learning program for homeschoolers, using the Traditional Parent-Directed program or the DVD or Online Video Streaming program of A Beka Book publications. ABA is both FACCS* and SACS CASI** accredited, and includes report cards and evaluations, high school diploma upon graduation, and official transcripts. Academic and age requirements are considered in registration applications. ABA is based on a 170-day school year. Lessons may not be modified.

Traditional Parent-Directed Program

Traditional Parent-Directed Program includes A Beka Book curriculum; student textbooks and workbooks and all teaching materials needed for each grade level, and enrollment in A Beka Academy, for grades K5-6.

Independent Study Program

Independent Study Program includes the same student textbooks, workbooks, and teaching materials as the Traditional Parent-Directed program, but without enrollment in A Beka Academy, course or age requirements, or ABA support.

DVD or Internet Video Streaming

DVD or Internet Video Streaming includes video lessons with step-by-step instructions, and all necessary a beka curriculum; textbooks, workbooks, tests, keys and videos needed, for grades K4-12. Available with or without A Beka Academy support.

A Beka ESL

A Beka offers English as a Second Language curriculum for beginners, intermediate, and advanced speakers of English as a second language online through internet streaming video. A Beka ESL runs on Microsoft Silverlight 3™. PowerPC-based Macintosh computers are not supported, and dial-up is not recommended. A high-speed connection is needed.
